Euvic MEA supports the Blind Loyalty Trust this year
Blind Loyalty Trust operates in South Africa and supports ophthalmology treatments for people who can’t afford them. Euvic is joining the Blind Loyalty initiative this year and participating in the Comrades Marathon!
About Blind Loyalty
Foundations often arise from a combination of suffering, a huge dose of empathy, understanding and a desire to help others. Such was the case with the Blind Loyalty Trust. Amanda Cromhout, a running enthusiast, was struck by fusarium keratitis, which temporarily left her blind in her right eye. This occurred during her preparation period for the Comrades Marathon in South Africa. The health situation, however, made it impossible for her to compete, and Amanda endured three months of intense pain and received two emergency corneal transplants.
While Amanda went through such a painful experience, she realized that it was something she would never want others who could not afford health care, to have to endure without financial support. For this reason, she has founded the Blind Loyalty Trust.

The activities of The Blind Loyalty Trust can be supported in many ways. One of them is to become a hero and participate with Amanda in the Comrades Marathon run taking place in South Africa on June 11. The goal of the run is to complete nearly 90km in less than 12h. Hero, deciding to run, thereby opens her/his path of financial support on the Blind Loyalty website, from which all funds raised will go to support ophthalmic procedures for those who need such treatment.

Seeing is so obvious to many of us that we don’t realize how different and difficult life could be without the ability to see. We hope that through this initiative, The Blind Loyalty Trust will make ophthalmic procedures possible for even more people who need them. Donation of any amount is possible by clicking on this link.
We’re happy to be taking part and can’t wait to run! Good luck and a lot of endurance to all those running this year!
